MashUp Communications is an esteemed PR agency in Berlin on the cutting edge of brand storytelling. MashUp Communications vision is to be the pioneer of brand storytelling, and they needed a brand and a new website design to reflect that.
Their strategy is to continue making positive changes in the industry, pursuing the ideals of kindness and humanity to change the world for the better, so they needed a brand look and feel that reflects this mission.
We were inspired by the archetype characters used in MashUp Communications client workshops. The brand utilises the analogy of a protagonist about to embark on a journey of self-discovery, much like the deep discovery process that the Mashup team carry out when working with a new client.
For the logo, we created flexible type compositions that can be stretched and reconfigured as well as simple illustrative/icon-based options.
The concept centred around the idea of searching for and uncovering what’s important in a story and the iterative process of storytelling.
We introducED all new typography, and fleshing out existing illustrations with the new design aesthetic. Through custom illustrations and rich colours we established a more premium and sophisticated brand to attract B2B clients.
